01 The Brief

A site that looked like
2008.

By 2016, Robbie's was one of the most-recognized destinations in the Florida Keys: working marina, charter fleet, restaurant, tarpon dock. Brand was unforgettable. Website was the opposite.

The brief wasn't a redesign. The brief was retention.

Make the site work. Keep it working. Update it the way a magazine updates itself, continuously, not in 18-month redesign cycles.

Walk-in traffic was strong. Online conversion wasn't. Booking flow was three tabs away from homepage. SEO equity from domain age was lost to thinner competitors with better tech.

Robbie's needed wasn't an agency engagement. It needed someone who treated the site like infrastructure: operated, not delivered.

02 The System

Operated,
not delivered.

What we built and have maintained on the same retainer since 2016. Each layer is treated as live infrastructure, adjusted weekly, not rebuilt annually.

01 — BOOKING ENGINE

Direct booking flow,
three clicks deep.

FareHarbor integration with custom theme overrides so the booking widget reads as part of the brand, not a third-party iframe. Cart abandonment monitoring. Conversion attribution back to landing source.

FareHarbor · Custom JS · Analytics
02 — CONTENT & SEO

Editorial-grade content,
weekly cadence.

Fishing reports, seasonal updates, charter capacity changes, gallery curation. Technical SEO maintenance on a 10-year domain, schema markup, internal linking, Core Web Vitals tuning, image optimization.

WordPress · Schema · GA4 · Search Console
03 — HOSTING & MONITORING

24/7 uptime,
zero managed surprises.

Hosting moved to managed infrastructure with daily backups, staging environment, and SSL handled. Status monitoring with Slack alerts. We see outages before staff does.

Managed WP · Daily backups · UptimeRobot
04 — RELATIONSHIP LAYER

A retained partner,
not a vendor.

A standing meeting every quarter. Direct line for urgent updates. The site evolves as the business does, seasonal hours, new captains, policy changes, regulatory shifts. No scope-of-work renegotiation.

Trust · Tenure · Same operator since 2016

04 Engagement Model

This is the offer.

The Robbie's engagement is not an exception. It's the model. We take on a small number of clients per year and operate their web presence as infrastructure, long retainers, direct access, no producers in the middle.
